Te Amo

The color challenge at SCS yesterday was a hard one for me. The colors were Perfect Plum, Pink Pirouette, and Kiwi Kiss and this is what I came up with.

I almost didn't have a card to post today, since this one went MIA for quite a while yesterday. As I was heading down the hall to take the card to the kitchen table to photograph it, I noticed my dog, Rose, head out the doggy door. By the time I got to the kitchen and looked out the window, I saw Rosie had fallen in the pond. She was chasing a squirrel and must have forgotten the pond was there. She is getting older and I could see she couldn't get herself out, so I ran out and fished her out.

She is pretty much ok, but limping around today. After I got her inside and dried off, I went looking for my card and couldn't find it anywhere. I knew it was in my hand when I went to rescue Rosie, but I searched everywhere, even outside and in the pond. I finally found it on top of the television. I must have set it down as I was heading outside to rescue my poor doggy.

I love this cute image from Asela's latest stamp set, Warm and Fuzzy. Of course, in real life, Rosie the dog does not like our cat. I colored the images with Copic markers and cut them out. All the panels are sponged and embossed using the Perfectly Paisley Cuttlebug folder.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a great day!

  1. Ahhh pooor Rose! So glad she is ok! My dog is older too and will just run at blind run at cats, lol. And will hurt herself in someway each time.

Gorgeous card, as usual! I sure cant tell you had a hard time with it!

  2. You've managed the colours beautifully Theresa and I love the way you use your embossing folders. I tend to forget about mine but that's what happens when you haven't a dedicated craft area to leave stuff out on.

Glad to hear Rosie's not too badly hurt by her escapade. We have a new (to us) 9 month old puppy who's full of mischief at the moment.

  3. I hope Rosie is okay! Growing up we had a dog that loved to run in the park (before leash laws!) and would end up in the pond every time! She wasn't even chasing anything she just loved to run!

Love all the embossing especially the heart. These are hard colors but as usual you pulled it off! Loverly!

  16. So cute!!!

My dad's dog loved his cat so much that when the poor puss had to be put to sleep, he pined terribly. My dad didn't understand why he was so low, off his food, depressed etc. Then I said to him, he misses Ted! You need to adopt another cat! So he got another one from a rescue centre :) and the dog immediately perked up. And I am talking about an enormous German Shepherd dog here, not a little terrier! LOL! It was so cute to see this enormous dog getting so happy over a little kitty!
