This was going to be a card using my Organic Grace set (SU), which I have sorely neglected. At some point, while I was working on the backgound, I decided that a few stamps from Tropical Flowers would make a nice addition.
One thing led to another and before I knew it, my pretty yellow background was brown. That meant my pretty lavender dragonflies, that I spent so much time cutting out, just didn't belong. So I pulled out my
I have decided that since there is not a butterfly on this card and the color scheme is in greens and browns, this qualifies as a masculine card. Whadya think? Too girlie for a guy?
I used Copic markers to color the MOTH from Take Flight. The background is sponged with So Saffron, Creamy Caramel and Chocolate Chip. Most of the visible foliage is from Tropical Flowers and was stamped with Creamy Caramel and Old Olive (stamped off once).
The two small layers are backed with Chocolate Chip cardstock, then there is a layer of Kiwi Kiss. The card base is Chocolate Chip.
Tip 'o the Day - When experimenting with new embossing techniques on your Cuttlebug, use your old, yucky B plates, instead of the nice ones you just bought. (I didn't make this mistake, my sister did. But I plan to remember it and rub it in, periodially. Muhahaha)
Can you spare a prayer or send positive thoughts to Allison's sweet baby girl, Avery. She is having heart surgery today.
Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day!
WOW awesome awesome card. I am going to have to get that butterfly I think though not sure I could do it justice like you do.
ReplyDeleteClassy card. Even in moth colours I can't imaging giving the card to a man unless he was specifically intereded in moths and insects, but that's just my opinion.
