Home Tweet Thank You

Hi there! I hope you all had a great weekend. We had our good friends from out of town visiting and had a such a fun time! That is why I was quiet over the weekend, but now I am back and just in the nick of time. Gina K new releases start tonight at midnight!

This is a simple card I put together using Home Tweet Home. I colored the image with Copic markers on Gina K Pure Luxury cardstock. I went out of the lines in several places (that is why I cut out so many of my images), so I decided to put the Copic colorless blender to the test and push the color back in. It worked really well, and cleaned up enough to make a presentable card.

If you enlarge the picture by clicking on it, you can see places along the fence where I went out with the brown and a pretty significant one on the along the birdhouse where I went out with the yellow. I didn't spend as much time on that one as I should have.

I found that when you are "pushing" your color back into place, you have to do it in several stages and let it dry in between. Once the paper gets saturated with the blending solution, it seems to creep back out.

Thanks for stopping by today. I will be back at 10 pm my time (there are advantages to living out west, hehe) with a preview of Melanie's new set.

Have a great day!

  8. Your card and key holder are both absolutely gorgeous! I used to use the sponging technique. You have inspired me to get back to it soon.

  9. Aw, this is so cute!! Great job with your Copics! That blender pen - it can be a stinker sometimes for me. At my recent Copic class I talked about this very thing. You're a pro already though, Theresa!
