Cool Beans And My Exciting News!

Have you heard my exciting news? I have been going crazy keeping it a secret. I am over the top excited and happy to be a Senior Design Team member for Gina K Designs. I was just floored when Gina asked me and I couldn't be more thrilled. You all know how much I love her stamps, but to be a part of that amazing DT is such an honor.

Sneak peaks for the next release start on Monday. I have seen the new sets and all I can say is, Wow! You are going to be amazed.

I want to congratulate Cindy Lawrence, who is also joining the senior DT and Carolina Buchting the Spotlight Designer for December. Wow, I am rubbing elbows some amazing stampers. Don't pinch me. If I am dreaming, let me keep on dreaming!

Now on to the card...

I made the card for a Try a New Technique challenge at SCS today, which was to spritz Simple Green onto an inked up piece of glossy card stock.

I started by brayering So Saffron on my piece of glossy CS and then added Creamy Caramel and Chocolate Chip, making it darker on one end.

I didn't have any Simple Green cleaner, so I used Formula 409 instead. It seemed to work just as well, but I used a bit too much and removed more ink that I would have liked.

That little spritzer bottle is from the cosmetic dollor bins at Walmart. I picked up several of them to use for crafting.

To get the coffee bag to hang off the edge of the oval, I first stamped the image from My Cuppa Joe, colored it with Koh-i-noor pencils, and then used my nestibilities oval to draw an oval.

Then I just cut the oval by hand, going around the bag where it overlapped the oval.

I did some sponging around the oval and on the sentiment circle.

I want to say thank you to everyone that reads my blog and for all the wonderful comments, encouragement and inspiration you have given me. You are all the greatest and make blogging so much fun!

Have a great day!!!
