Oh happy day! this is my first of four weeks as Melanie Muenchinger's guest designer and I am super thrilled to be sharing another project using her new stamp set, A Year of Flowers.
I used the tulip stamp for this card. I colored the images with Koh-i-noor pencils and blended the colors with odorless mineral spirits. I heat embossed the flowers with clear embossing powder.
There is some very light sponging around the white oval, then a layer of basic black, cut using my scallop nestabilities die cutter. The pink layer is Pink Pirouette, heavily sponged with Pretty in Pink. I was tempted to add some gems to this card, but the flowers are so pretty, I didn't want to distract from them.
On the inside I used one of the fabulous quotes from Say it With Flowers, Melanie's other new set. I love having so many great sayings for the insides of cards.
To see another project I made, be sure to visit Melanie's blog .
Thanks for visiting. I hope your day is wonderful!

ReplyDeleteI especially love the spongogn you did on your pink layer to spotlight your scalloped frame, just gorgeous! your STEMS look so 3D! (so do the tulips of course, but I always pay more attention to the blooms than the stems, I need to go the extra mile and give my stems more attention...;)
