Retro Fruit

This is a card I made over the weekend. I used two stamp sets from Gina K Designs, Retro Boutique and Summer Harvest. Summer Harvest is Gina's free set that you get with the purchase of any three stamp sets.

The dress was stamped first, then I masked off the top and and bottom band of the skirt and stamped the strawberry to create a pattern on the skirt.

I used Koh-i-noor pencils to color the image and blended with OMS. The background was created by stamping the strawberry on all four corners, then coloring again with Koh-i-noor pencils. Then I sponged the edges with So Saffron ink.

The oval directly under the dress was Whisper White that I sponged with Certainly Celery and Basic Black. The dress is popped up on dimensionals and so is the layer of ovals. I finished it off with some scoring, piercing, brads and ribbon.

I hope everyone had a good weekend. We did over here. I spent a bit of time stamping with my mom, while my DH and step dad went kayaking.

I shared a frappucino from Starbucks with my daughter, over the weekend, and got a cough from it. Does that happen to anyone else? I have figured out that if I remember to have them hold the whip cream, I don't get a cough, but if I get whip cream on it, I get a cough that lasts for about 1/2 an hour. So am I the only one with a mocha cough?

If you think that is weird, I also get a mint sneeze.

Thanks for stopping by and listening to my ramblings. I hope you have a fantastic day!

  1. First off, I have to say, my best friend here gets mint sneezes too :-) Sometimes she will eat a mint to get her sneeze and help her breathe better. She has mild asthma.

Lovely card and even though I don't use much ribbon on my cards, I would love to have some of this.

    How much per roll?

Just an inside joke. Love the strawberries growing on a basil plant :-))
