Purse Candy Holders
I made these cute little purses using the purse stamp from the Shopaholic stamp set by Unity. They are the perfect size to hold Nestle Treasures chocolate candies, but you could probably use other candies.
Start by stamping your image twice on designer paper. I used black stazon and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. Then cut out each of the purses.
On one of the purses, the negative space inside the handle will be used as a flap to adhere the front and back of the purse together.
Using a craft knife, cut along the inside of the handle.
You can also cut around the little triangles if you want those to pop up. If not, just leave that area uncut.
You should have a flap as shown.
Next, score along the uncut portion and fold flap down. On the second purse, you don't need a flap and can cut the entire negative space away.
To create a more finished look, color the wrong side of the handles black and go around the edges of the designer paper with a black marker.
Cut a piece of coordinating card stock to 2 1/2 inches by 1 1/2 inches. Score 3/4 an inch from either side.
Place adhesive on each side.
Adhere the card stock of the front of the purse.
Adhere to the back.
Place a piece of adhesive to the flap.
Close it up and embellish. I use a small prima flower and little plastic animal eyes. These little black eyes were found at Michaels mixed in the the selection of googlie eyes.
On this one, I used gems and the little black animal eyes.
Thanks for stopping by.
