I may have gotten a bit carried away with the embellies in this card. Had fun doing it though. I made it for a few challenges.
Gina K is having a sketch challenge on her blog this weekend. You have to use only Gina K stamps and one lucky winner will receive a free stamp set of their choice.
The challenge at Stamp Something this week is called Triple Play and you have to use at least three layers, three colors and three kinds of embellishments.
The stamp set I used is Owl Always Love You from Gina K. The main image is colored with Koh-i-noor pencils and blended with OMS. After cutting it out, I covered it in Versa Mark and heat embossed it with clear.
I used Almost Amethyst paper sponged with Lovely Lilac ink and Very Vanilla sponged with Certainly Celery. The sentiment is stamped on white.
I ran the vellum through my cuttlebug, using the Swiss Dots folder.
I hope your day is filled with fun surprises!
I love the colors and all the embellishments. The vellum swiss dots look like little pearls themselves. May be the sheer ribbon can go.
ReplyDeleteHi Theresa!
ReplyDeleteMy name is Risa (aka malieta) and I am very pleased to meet you:)
I love your owl card and the embellishments are fine, I would not change a thing! You are very talented and your cards are lovely. Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving the kind comments.
Oh, not too embellished. I love how you didn't crease the vellum in the corner. It brings to mind a little girl all dressed up in a dotted swiss fabric dress. It's darling.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning! Your cutting on the branch & the owls is masterful & that vellum layer is Yummy! What an amazing idea to fold it back like that. I also love the sponging in certain celery. I couldn't tell if it was some fancy designer paper. What an AWESOME! technique. Thanks for the astounding inspiration, :0)
ReplyDeleteWow, what a beautiful card! Love the embossed vellum and the peek a boo sentiment. Great image and coloring, love the shiny coating. Fab colors and layout. Great accents, love all the embellishments, especially the ribbons. Thanks for playing, wonderful job! :)
