Berry Sweet

Good morning and happy Friday! This is my first card using Treehouse stamps. This set is called Life's a Picnic. I made it for yesterdays challenge at SCS, which was to use a charm somewhere on your project.

The images are stamped with Stazon and colored with Koh-i-noor pencils. I cut them out and heat embossed them with clear embossing powder. I mounted them on small Bashful Blue panels and put those on a layer of Very Vanilla that I had sponged with Certainly Celery and dry embossed with my Swiss Dots folder.

The little charm hanging on the ribbon is made from Shrinky Dinks. I wasted a whole sheet trying to get that one little charm made and it still didn't come out very well. I think I need a lesson in what inks/coloring supplies to use with polyshrink.

Anyone have any suggestions for an ink to use with polyshrink or how to get it not to smear without heat setting it? I used Stazon, but it didn't work very well.

Awesome card Theresa! Love the little touch of the grapes coming over the edge, and the little charm!

When I have used they shrink stuff, I never had any luck using the heat gun, so I just do old fashioned way, the oven, lol. Also, the best coloring medium to use to me is your colored pencils. They get more vibrant colored too after you heat them, can even do shading with them on the plastic...just remember to think, what you put down first, you will see on the other side first.

Love it! I relly like the way you highlighted your images and your little strawberry is precious! Of course I love the ribbon. I have used all mine like that! :-(

hi there! I love the card, and yep, I struggled with the shrinky dink stuff and went back to the regular oven and I like using colored pencils or in some cases sharpie markers. Inks never worked good for me either... hope that helps!
