CardMaker and Poppystamps Blog Hop

Hello and happy Friday! Today the CardMaker design team has teamed up with the PoppyStamps design team to bring you a fun blog hop featuring products from PoppyStamps. I love this Elsa Butterfly Branch die. So fun and whimsical! I'll show you how I made this card below, but first, I have another card to show you.

On this card, I used PoppyStamps wonderful Maple Leaf Die. I love the delicate cut border. I used Sandy Beach cardstock to cut from and then sponged color onto the leaf insert.

The next stop on the blog hop is Michele Henderson.

To make the first card, start by cutting lavender and green card stock using the Elsa die.

Use scissors to trim the butterfly from the lavender die cut.

Sponged the outside edges of the butterfly with purple ink.

Gently sponge along some of the foliage of the green die cut.

Adhere the lavender butterfly onto the green die cut. Add a few pearl embellishments to the center of the butterfly.

To create a background for the die cut, trim white cardstock to 3 ¼ by 4 ½ inches and sponge along the bottom with green ink.

Sponge the top using blue ink.

Prepare a 4 ¼ by 5 ½ inch white card base and score at the corners. Layer the background with a piece of black cardstock and adhere to the card base with adhesive foam squares. Stamp the sentiment onto a small strip of white cardstock. Place a black twine bow under the sentiment and secure the sentiment using adhesive foam squares.

Thanks for hopping with us. I hope you have a great day and wonderful weekend!

Your cards are so beautiful and I appreciate the tutorial on your first card. The coloring on your leaf card is amazing. The lighter color border really makes the leaf POP. That said I like having the option of whether or not to use the border.
