Bright Birthday Fish Video and Tutorial

Hello! I hope you are all having a great week. Today I have a new card using images from an older stamp set called Under The Sea. I used Spectrum Noir markers on this one, but if you scroll way down to the bottom of the post, you'll see some Copic alternative suggestions.

Here is the video. If you would like to see it directly on Youtube, click here to go to my channel.

Begin by stamping the two fish images onto white cardstock, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

Start coloring using Spectrum Noir marker PL4.

Add PL2.

Then fill in with LV1.

For the other fish, start with TB5.

Add TB3.

And fill in with TB1. After coloring, use scissors to cut out the image.

Next, cut and emboss white cardstock using Spellbinders® Oval Nestabilities die template and sponge Gina K Ocean Mist ink white the die cut is still in the die template.

Make the center area a bit darker by sponging very lightly with Gina K Turquoise Sea ink.

Remove the die cut from the die template and stamp the seaweed image using Gina K Fresh Asparagus ink. Stamp off onto scratch paper first to make the image lighter. Use a mask to protect the framed area when stamping.

Use Spectrum marker EB1 to color in the sea floor.

Then give it some texture by adding dots using Memento Markers Dessert Sand and Toffee Crunch.

Stamp more bamboo onto Sandy Beach cardstock using Fresh Asparagus ink. Once again, stamp off the image to make it lighter first.

Attach the fish to the oval layer using adhesive foam squares. Adhere some loops of silver twine behind the oval and then attach to the tan layer using more adhesive foam squares. Layer a piece of Smoky Slate cardstock behind the Sandy Beach and adhere all to an Ocean Mist card base. Stamp the sentiment, from Vogue Vases 2, onto a small strip of white cardstock using black ink and adhere using more adhesive foam squares.

Thank for visiting. I hope you have a wonderful day!

CardMaker and Poppystamps Blog Hop

Hello and happy Friday! Today the CardMaker design team has teamed up with the PoppyStamps design team to bring you a fun blog hop featuring products from PoppyStamps. I love this Elsa Butterfly Branch die. So fun and whimsical! I'll show you how I made this card below, but first, I have another card to show you.

On this card, I used PoppyStamps wonderful Maple Leaf Die. I love the delicate cut border. I used Sandy Beach cardstock to cut from and then sponged color onto the leaf insert.

The next stop on the blog hop is Michele Henderson.

To make the first card, start by cutting lavender and green card stock using the Elsa die.

Use scissors to trim the butterfly from the lavender die cut.

Sponged the outside edges of the butterfly with purple ink.

Gently sponge along some of the foliage of the green die cut.

Adhere the lavender butterfly onto the green die cut. Add a few pearl embellishments to the center of the butterfly.

To create a background for the die cut, trim white cardstock to 3 ¼ by 4 ½ inches and sponge along the bottom with green ink.

Sponge the top using blue ink.

Prepare a 4 ¼ by 5 ½ inch white card base and score at the corners. Layer the background with a piece of black cardstock and adhere to the card base with adhesive foam squares. Stamp the sentiment onto a small strip of white cardstock. Place a black twine bow under the sentiment and secure the sentiment using adhesive foam squares.

Thanks for hopping with us. I hope you have a great day and wonderful weekend!

Happy Lily Card Video Tutorial

Hello there! Today's card is one I made for a wedding recently. I wanted it to look elegant, but still pretty clean, so I used a simple white card base, but used a very detailed Spellbinders die template to add some glam and show off the calla lilies from the Elegant Florals stamp set from Gina K Designs.

Here is a video in case you would like to follow along. If you prefer to watch directly on Youtube, click here to visit my channel directly.

Thanks for dropping by. I hope you have a wonderful day!

Wonderful Family Gold Pen Frame Card Video

Happy Friday! I have a post up on the CardMaker blog today. You can find it by clicking here. . In addition to the CardMaker post, I have another Always Autumn card to share with you. This is my favorite time of year for card making. I love using fall colors!

Here is a video to show you how I created the card. If you prefer to watch directly on Youtube, just click here

Start by stamping both sizes of the leaf image, from Always Autumn, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. It's not shown in the photos, but I wound up using a third leaf for the finished project, so if you decide to make this card, stamp the small leaf twice so you can color them all at the same time.

Begin coloring using Copic marker E37.

Add YR04.

Fill in with E33.

Cut and emboss ivory cardstock using Spellbinders® A2 Matting Basics A die template and sponge Gina K Sweet Corn ink around the edges with the die cut still in the die template.

Sponge Gina K Warm Cocoa ink.

Stamp the sentiment with black ink, then stamp the wheat image using Gina K Honey Mustard ink. But stamp off onto scratch paper first so the image will be lighter.

Trim a piece of brown cardstock to 4 by 5 ¼ inches and position another A2 Matting Basics die template over the cardstock. Secure in place using re-positionable tape. Draw around the inside and outside with a gold metallic pen.

Layer the sentiment die cut with a piece of Honey Mustard cardstock and using self adhesive foam squares to adhere the layers to the Honey Mustard card base. Add dimension to the leaves by curling the edges and add a crease along the main vein, then adhere the leaves to the card, tucking the ends under the sentiment layers slightly.

Thanks for visiting. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
