Gina K Blog Hop - Copic Crocus Tutorial-Video

Hello there! It's the second day of the Gina K Designs February release blog hops. Today the team is featuring my latest set, Signs of Spring and Becky Oehlers new Folk Filigree. I decided to color the crocus image purple again, but this time using Copic markers.

Here is a video I created to show you how I made my card. There are step by step photos below. I also have video shot of all the cards I shared at the release party last week, so stay tuned for those to show up on my blog.

Direct link to this video at Youtube.

Check out all the blogs on the list to see more inspiring projects featuring Signs of Spring and Folk Filigree.

Start by stamping the crocus image using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

Color using Copic markers, beginning with V06.

Add V04.

Then fill in with V01.

I wanted a bit more contrast on the flowers, so I went back with my V06 marker.

For the stems, start with YG09.

Then fill in with YG25.  After coloring, cut out the image.

Trim white cardstock to 4 ½ by 4 ½ inches, then score at 4 ½. Position Spellbinders® Classic Squares LG die template (largest die template in the set) on one side and secure in place with low tack tape. Then emboss.

With the die template still in place add sticky notes to mask around the outside. Then sponge Gina K Fresh Asparagus ink in the bottom right corner.

Sponge Gina K Sweet Corn.

Sponge Gina K Wild Lilac.

Then sponge in the remaining area with Gina K Innocent Pink.

Stamp the silhouette branch, also from Signs of Spring, a few times using Innocent Pink.

Remove the masks & die template and stamp the sentiment using Gina K Wild Lilac.

Adhere the cut out flowers to the card base using dimensional foam squares.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful day!
