Quiet Autumn Card Making Tutorial and Video

Hello! I have a peaceful sponged card to share with you today. I used The Northwoods stamp set, from Gina K Designs, on this card.

I made a video to go with this card, or if you prefer, scroll down to see step by step photos.

To begin, trim ivory cardstock to 4 ½ by 3 ¼ inches, then sponge center with Gina K Sweet Corn ink.

Sponged around the edges using Gina K Honey Mustard ink.

Sponge around the edges using Gina K Kraft ink.

Using the tree grove image, from The Northwoods, stamp using Gina K Black ink.

Stamp a second image on sticky notes to make a mask, then trim along tree line to make a horizon line.

Place mask over original stamped image and sponge Gina K Dark Chocolate ink.

Remove mask and sponge more Dark Chocolate ink around sides and top.

Use Copic markers E25 and E27 to add shadows beneath trees.

Stamp deer, also from The Northwoods, using Gina K Black ink.

Use E25 and E27 to add shadow below the deer.

Layer with Pure Luxury Dark Chocolate cardstock and adhere to a Kraft card base (5 ½ by 4 ¼ inches). Stamp sentiment, from Vogue Vases 2, on a strip of ivory cardstock and where using 3D Foam Squares.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful day!

Majestic Autumn Card Making Tutorial

Hello there! Today I have a tutorial for making a shaped card with Spellbinders® die templates along with images from the Heartfelt stamp set from Gina K Designs.

To begin, cut/emboss Spellbinders Majestic Labels Twenty-five #4 (with #1 being the smallest die template). Then sponged Memento Cantaloupe ink, while still in the die template.

Sponge around the bottom edge with Memento Toffee Crunch.

Sponge Memento Tangelo along the top edge.

Using a sticky not to mask the bottoms of the stems, stamp the foliage, from Heartfelt, using Memento Toffee Crunch.  I was careful when inking to leave one of the stalks unlinked.

Stamp the image a second time, then set the background aside.

Stamp the pumpkins, also from Heartfelt, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

Fill in using Copic marker Y17.

 Add YR12.

 Add YR04.

 Add YR18.

Add just a bit of shading with BV11.

For the stems, use YG95. After coloring, cut out the image, then set aside.

For the card front, place Majestic Labels Twenty-five #5 & #6 on Spellbinders Magnetic Spacer Plate to help keep them in place. Then cut/emboss ivory cardstock.

After cutting/embossing, sponge, while still in the die templates, using Memento Toffee Crunch ink.

To make the shaped card base, trim Pure Luxury Sandy Beach cardstock to 6 1/2 by 8 1/2 inches, then score at 4 1/4 inches. Fold and crease on score line.

Place the card base on Majestic Labels Twenty-five #6, with the fold slightly inside the cut line of the die template. Hold in place with low tack tape, then cut.

After cutting, you have the shaped card base with the fold intact because of your careful placement in the die template.

Adhere the card front die cut to the card base. Tie twine around the background layer, then adhere with 3D Foam Squares. Adhere the pumpkins, also with 3D Foam Squares.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a fabulous day!

Happy Snowman Tutorial and Video

Hello! I have another Let It Snow card to share with you today. I think I showed this at that release party a few weeks ago, but I want to show you the step out photos and I made a quick video.

Here is the video.

To begin, cut white cardstock to 2 3/4 by 4 1/4 inches and sponge around the edges with Memento Danube Blue ink.

Stamp the branch, from Let It Snow, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

Stamp the berries using Gina K Cherry Red ink.

Stamp the sentiment using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

On another piece of white cardstock, stamp the snowman with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

Begin coloring with E53 Copic marker.

Blend into the lighter areas with E51.

Use N7 on the darkest parts of the hat.

Add N5 to the hat and on the darker parts of the buttons.

Use N3 to fill in the hat and buttons.

For the tie and hat band, use BV13 and BV00.

For the carrot nose, use YR07 and YR02.

Use E31 to fill in the broom.

Use E37 on the broom handle and to shade the top. After coloring, cut out the image.

Layer a piece of In The Navy cardstock behind the sponged background and adhere to a Powder Blue card base (4 ¼ by 5 ½ inches). Use 3D Foam Squares to adhere the snowman.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope your day is wonderful!

Gold Flakes Card Making Tutorial

Hi there! I have another Let It Snow card to share with you today.

I started with a piece of ivory cardstock and sponged Memento Cantaloupe ink along the bottom.

Then sponged Memento Rich Cocoa ink. I was going for a whimsical look, so I made a bit of a wave with the color.

Then I used my black sponge dauber, just using the residual ink on it, to add some color at the bottom.

It's hard to see in the photo, but I stamped two snowflakes using VersaMark ink. You can click on the photos to see them larger.

Then sprinkled gold embossing powder and heat embossed.

Next, I stamped a few smaller snowflakes with Memento Desert Sand ink.

The sentiment was stamped and heat embossed on ivory cardstock, then cut and embossed using Spellbinders® Labels Thirty-One. Then I sponged with Memento Desert Sand while still in the die template. I added some Zva Creative self adhesive pearl bling, then layered with Pure Luxury Dark Chocolate on a Gold card base (5 ½ by 4 ¼ inches).
