Vertical Anniversary Card Tutorial

Hi there! Today I am sharing a card I made for the release party last week. I used my new stamp set, Vertical Grettings.

To begin, cut/emboss white cardstock using Spellbinders® Labels Four and sponge Memento Summer Sky ink while die cut is still in the die template.

Then sponge Memento Danube Blue.

And sponge a litte more using Memento Paris Dusk.

Remove from die template and stamp cattails image using Gina K Black ink.

Use a Copic marker, N7. to make a shadow in the water below the cattails. Use an opaque white gel pen to add in some highlights.

Use N3 to add a bit more shading to the ager.

Ink up a small, silhouette dragonfly and stamp off on scratch paper, to make the image lighter, then stamp on the die cut.

Stampe the large dragonfly on white cardstock, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. then begin coloring with Copic marker C5 for the body.

Added C3.

For the wings, start with V06 and add BV13.

Fill in with BV11 and use the blender pen to push some highlights back in. After coloring, cut out the image.

Trim a piece of Pure Luxury Black cardstock to 2 3/4 by 4 inches and then cut/emboss using Spellbinders Labels Four.

Stamp the vertical sentiment onto the edge of a piece of scrap white, then trim into a narrow strip in your paper trimmer. Trim into two pieces.

The card base is Pure Luxury Powder Blue, trimmed and folded to create a 4 ¼ by 5 ½ inch card. I used my Score-Buddy to add some detail scoring to the corners.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful day!

Hi Theresa. Beautiful, I love the powder blue card. It sets off the catkins and dragonflies so well doesn't it. Great instuctions too. Take care.
