CardMaker Gina K Designs Spring Parade Blog Hop

Hello! Today the Gina K Designs designers are teaming up with CardMaker Magazine to bring you a special blog hop featuring the new Spring Parade StampTV Kit. We'll be showing you a fabulous array of design ideas featuring the Spring Parade kit.

If you've come from Debbie Corbari's blog, you are in the right place. The next blog on the hop is our very own Gina Krupsky. Hop on over to see what she has to show and find out how you can win a fabulous prize!

And now a bit about my card...

To begin my card, I cut and embossed Pure Luxury White cardstock, using Spellbinders™A2 Matting Basics A. Then I stamped the flowers, from one of the Spring Parade stamp set, Take Flight, using VersaMark ink. Then I heat embossed the images with clear embossing powder.

Then I sponed, using Gina K Ocean Mist ink, while my cardstock was still in the die template.

Next I sponged with Gina K Fresh Asparagus ink.

I stamped some leaves, from the Spring Parade Blossom stamp set, using Gina K Fresh Asparagus ink.

Stamped the dragonfly with Gina K Ocean Mist.

Then I used a Stardust Glitter pen to add some sparkle to the dragonfly.

I cut and embossed some Spring Parade pattern paper, using a larger size of the A2 Matting Basics die templates, at an angle, then sponged around the edges with Gina K Ocean Mist ink.

My card base is Pure Luxury White, which I embossed a frame in with an even larger A2 Matting Basics A die template. I adhered my layers at wonky angles and added a sentiment, popped up with 3D foam squares.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful day!

Very original, love the wonky look of it. The top layer almost looks like a "older" photo with the perimeter edge remaining white. I like how that worked out. Nice detail on every layer, from the embossed lines on the base, to the inked edges on middle layer, and that clean white edge on top. Sweet images, and wonderful sentiment. Done and gorgeous!
