Gina K Inspiration Blog Hop Day 2

Hello! It's our second day of inspiration for the latest Gina K Designs stamp release. Today we are featuring my new set, The Northwoods and Becky Oehlers' new Poster Board Sentiments. The Northwoods is a set dedicated to trees (although I did sneak in two small deer). Step by step photos for this card are below.

Next is a card I made using one of Becky's Poster Board Sentiments, along with a tree from The Northwoods. I also did the same dot treatment, using Lots of Dots, as on one of my cards yesterday. Technically,  I made this card first. After I was finished with it, I decided the dots were a tad too whimsical for a sympathy card, which prompted me to make that card I shared yesterday. I really love the look of all the sentiments in Poster Board Sentiments and there are so many ways to use them.

The Design Team for Gina K. Designs welcomes you to another fabulous Inspiration Blog Hop! Gina and the Design Team will inspire you with many beautiful ideas! And as you hop through their blogs, make sure to leave a comment on each of them because we will choose a few random comments and those stampers will each win a grab bag of Gina K. Designs products! To see the full list of winners checkthe Big News forum at Stamp TV a few days after the hops.

I started my forest card by sponging Memento Summer Sky ink on white card stock.

 Sponged Memento Bahama Blue ink.

 Sponged Memento Teal Zeal.

Then sponged Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

Then disaster struck as I was about to stamp the tree. I dropped the ind pad lid on my project. Yep, I did it again. I had originally planned to stamp the tree on the left, but fate wanted it on the right.

I moved my mask over to the right side and stamped the tree right on top of the ink stain.

Then I stamped the smaller tree several more times.

The sentiment was stamped in the upper left corner and I used an N5 Copic marker to make some shadows. Then I added a bit of piercing to the lower right corner. I layered with a piece of Pure Luxury Black Onyx and used a card base created with Pure Luxury Ocean Mist.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope your day is fun!

Beautiful cards! The poster sentiment goes very well atop the tree. On the Ocean Mist card base is the scoring an embossing folder? It makes a most beautiful framing for your scene. If it's hand-scored you have my applause and even MORE admiration!
