Hello! Today the design team are featuring two more new release stamp sets. First up is the set I illustrated for this month, Sweet Strawberries. This stamp set makes me hungry! I'll share the details on how I made the card above at the bottom of this post.

And here is another sample using Sweet Strawberries. I just got home last week from a wonderful vacation to Jamaica and I have to confess I had just a few strawberry daiquiris by the beach, so I just had to make a card like this. I'll share the tutorial for this card a little later in the week.

Next up is such a cool new set from Tami Mayberry, called Vintage Notes. This will be a great set for creating not just cards, but fun little gifts and scrapbook pages, too! Tami designed this set to coordinate with the Spellbinders™ Shapeabilities® Office Supplies die set. I don't have that set yet, so I had to improvise with a hole punch. After stamping the lined note image, I stamped some paper clips and added the sentiment. I placed the Tim Holtz metal frame over the sentiment and attached with brads. I created my own custom pattern paper using images and sentiments from Vintage Notes, then layered with Pure Luxury Chocolate Brown and used a Tan Leather card base.

For more inspiration be sure to check out what the rest of the team have created for you...

To start my card I stamped the strawberries with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic markers, beginning withR89.

Added R29.

Then added R27.

Added R24.

Added R22.

Then filled in with R00.

I used G03 on the leaves.

Added YG23 to make them brighter.

Then filled in with YG97. After coloring, I cut out the strawberries and then covered them with Crystal Lacquer.

I cut a piece of Pure Luxury White card stock with rectangle Nestabilities and sponged Memento New Sprout ink.

Sponged Memento Cantaloupe.

Then sponged Memento Bamboo Leaves.

I stamped the silhouette strawberry plant with Memento Bamboo Leaves.

I cut a piece of GKD Petals and Wings designer paper with Spellbinders Labels 4 and sponged Memento Lady Bug ink around the edges.

Cut a another piece of pattern paper from the Petals and Wings collection and sponged the edges with Memento Bamboo Leaves.

I created the sentiment layer with Labels 4 also and sponged with Memento Bamboo Leaves. I used Pop Dots to pop up the image a sentiment layer and used Pure Luxury Fresh Asparagus for the card base (4 1/4 by 5 1/2 inches).

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a great day. Be sure to check back tomorrow for another inspiration blog hop from Gina K!

The Design Team for Gina K. Designs welcomes you to another fabulous Inspiration Blog Hop!!! Gina and the Design Team will inspire you with many beautiful ideas! Hello! Today the Gina K Designs team are show casing two wonderful new stamps sets that are available now! My first card (above) was made using Melanie Muenchinger's gorgeous new set, Basket Additions 2. There are so many wonderful images in this set, all designed to coordinate with Melanie's basket sets.

Next up is Gina's Lacy Borders set. These delicate lace border will lend a touch of elegance to any set. I heat embossed the lace on this card, then sponged Memento Bamboo Leaves for an emboss resist effect. The sentiment is also from Lacy Borders.

I didn't get the coloring steps photographed on this car, but I wanted to show you how you can frame the images for a different look. After coloring, I cut out the birthday image, separating the gift and balloons, then used a Spellbinders Oval die template to give the bottom a curve.

I cut a piece of white card stock with the same oval Nestabilities die template, then sponged Memento Cantaloupe ink while it was still in the die.

I made another layer, this time using Pure Luxury Lovely Lavender, cut with Labels Eighteen Nestabilities. I sponged Memento Lulu Lavender while it was still in the die.

I layered with Pure Luxury Ivory that I embossed with my Elegance M-Bossabilities™embossing folder. I sponged Memento Cantaloupe ink after embossing. Then I added a layer of Pure Luxury Key Lime and used Vibrant Purple for my card base. I added a buttony bow and a some tiny gems in the corner.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful day!

Pretty Poppies and Two Tone Scallop Border

Hello! Today I'll show you how you can make a two color scallop border using Spellbinders™ Classic Postage Stamp Edgeabilities. My photo of this card didn't come out well and the border gets a bit lost in the shadow, but it is a fun technique and looks great when you have good lighting.

I also want to spotlight two wonderful partner companies that generously gave products to the Spellbinders design team at our DT retreat in Phoenix last month, Bo Bunny (designer paper) and Creative Impressions (ribbon).

Sorry, I don't have step by step coloring photos this time, but here are the markers I used. (R08, YR07, YR04, Y17, Y21, YG95 and G05) After coloring, I cut out the image.

I cut a piece of gorgeous paper from the Bo Bunny Country Garden Collection 6 X 6 pad, using Spellbinders Labels Eighteen. Then I sponged around the edges while it was still in the die template, using Memento Bamboo Leaves.

The first time I used my Spellbinders Classic Postage Stamp Edgeabilities I notices the negative lefts behind when you cut the border had a nifty bump that would be a perfect scallop, so I took two sections of the negatives and layered them.

They fit perfectly to make a wonderful scallop border. And if you use two colors it makes such a neat look.  I didn't make perfectly straight pieces, but I planned to cut the scallops under a piece of designer paper, so that part would be hidden.

I used another piece of the Bo Bunny dp and assembled the card. The card base is Pure Luxury Tan Leather (4 1/4 y 5 1/2). The sentiment (from The Giving Tree) is also stamped on dp and cut out using Spellbinders Tags and Flags from the Becky Fleck collection. I really love the gorgeous crepe ribbon from Creative Impressions! I definitely have to get more of that ribbon. So shimmery and winkled!

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful day!
