Gina K Inspiration Hop Day 2

Hello! It is day two of the Gina K Designs inspiration hops for our November release. I have a card featuring my new set, Elegant Florals. This is a sympathy card, but the sentiment is stamped on the inside only. I'll show you the step by step photos for this card on Friday.

Next up is Beth Silaika's newest, Sentimental Holiday. I love the elegant images and greetings in this set! I love the elegant images and sentiments in this set and how easy it is to make a quick, elegant holiday card.

And as you hop through their blogs, make sure to leave a comment on each of them because we will choose a few random comments and those stampers will each win a grab bag of Gina K. Designs products! To see the full list of winners check the Big News forum at Stamp TV a few days after the hops.

To make the gold card, I started by cutting and embossing Pure Luxury Ivory card stock using Spellbinders™Nestabilities® Matting Basics A. Then I cut a curve on on a sticky note to mask and sponged Memento Rich Cocoa ink.

I moved the sticky note a few times, sponging more Rich Cocoa ink, to make snow banks.

Then removed the mask and sponged lightly around the edges of the die template.

I stamped the tree and star using Versa Mark ink. Then I sprinkled Ranger Superfine Embossing Powder over the images and heat embossed.

There were a few places on the bottom of tree that I hadn't stamped well and didn't have great coverage of from the embossing powder, so I used my Versa Mark pen over those places and added more embossing powder. I love the the Versa Mark pen for fixing those little mistakes!

I added a little shadow under the tree with my W3 Copic marker.

Gina's Pure Luxury Good As Gold card stock matches the Superfine Embossing Powder so perfectly! I used a piece for my card base (4 ¼ by 5 ½ inches). To embossed a frame on the card base, I secured one of the Matting Basics A die templates on the inside of my card base, using small pieces of painters tape, then embossed. By placing the die template on the inside of my card base, it creates a raised frame on the outside.

I adhered the focal layer to the card base, using Pop Dots and added a bow, using Gina's gold lined ribbon. The sentiment was also heat embossed with gold embossing powder, then cut out and embossed with Spellbinders Fancy Tags One.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful day!

terrific layering of the images and die cuts for your set, it rocks! I love the bold scene, too, though the shadows on the hills were gold ink too at first!
