Pineapple Vignette Tutorial

Hello! I can't believe it's Friday already. Today I have a pineapple card using images from my new set, Tropical Nature.

I stamped the pineapple with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and began coloring with Y000 Copic marker.

I added Y35.

Then added YG95, outlining some of the segments of the pineapple and to shade the leaves.

Added YG03 to the leaves.

Then filled in with YG91. After coloring, I cut out the image.

For the background, I used Pure Luxury Ivory and stamped one of the split leave philodendron leaves with Memento Tuxedo Black.

Then I used the silhouette of the leaf and stamped with Memento Bamboo Leaves.

I stamped  both sizes of the palm fronds with Memento Pistachio ink.

Using my Spellbinders™ Grand Calibur®, I cut out the background with rectangle Nestabilities®. Then I sponged Memento Cantaloupe ink, while still in the die template.

I used BV11 and BV000 to add a shadow and adhered the pineapple with Pop Dots.

The background was layered with Pure Luxury Fresh Asparagus and the card base is Sandy Beach, sized at 4 ¼ by 5 ½ inches. I added the sentiment, then scored the base with my Scor-Buddy.

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful weekend. The Gina K inspiration blog hops begin Monday morning!

Google kicked me out, so you may get this twice. What I tried to say was that pineapple looks good enough to eat! Great card.

Hi, Theresa - you can take the most simplest of things and turn them into such works of art! How serene and elegant this pineapple looks with the shadows and leaves around it. mmmmm.
