Gina K Inspiration Hop Day 1

The Design Team for Gina K. Designs welcomes you to another fabulous Inspiration Blog Hop!!! Gina and the Design Team will inspire you with many beautiful ideas! And as you hop through their blogs, make sure to leave a comment on each of them because we will choose a few random comments and those stampers will each win a grab bag of deeply etched, pre-cut Gina K. Designs stamps! To see the full list of winners check the Big News forum at Stamp TV a couple of days after the hops!!

Hello! Today the design team are featuring two new stamp sets from Gina K Designs. First up is Wild Flowers illustrated by Melanie Muenchinger.  The bold lines and striking images in this set are perfect for techniques! It also coordinates with one of Melanie's previous sets, Wild At Heart. Details for this card are below.

On this card I used the butterflies from Wild Flowers to make a super quick clean and simple card. I stamped the butterflies with Memento Tangelo and Rose Bud and the sentiment in Tuxedo Black. Then I added score lines around the edge.

Next up is Masculine Tags, by Tami Mayberry. This set will be perfect for making masculine cards for any occasion! I used my favorite image in the set along with some of Gina's fabulous new designer paper, Pool Side.
And here I used the same image to make another super quick clean and simple card, this time paper piecing with designer paper from Casual Friday.

For more inspiration, check out the rest of the design team blogs...

To make the top card, I started by sponged Memento Cantaloupe ink.

Then I stamped one of the flower using the rock & roll technique. I first inked up the image with Memento Cantaloupe, then I "rocked & rolled" the ink pad around the edges of the flower, creating a two tone effect when stamped.

I used the same technique with another flower.

I stamped the centers with Memento Tangelo.

I made a mask to cover the bottom image, adhering with repositionable tape. Then I stamped the stem & leaves using Memento Bamboo Leaves.

For the sentiment layer, I cut out a rectangle with a Spellbinders Rectangle Nestabilities die template. Then I sponged Memento Cantaloupe ink while still in the die.

Stamped the sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

Then I stamped the two smaller flowers using the same rock & roll technique.

I layered with Pure Luxury Sweet Mango and used a Kraft card base. I added score lines with my Scor-Buddy and used a Fancy Tags die template by Spellbinders.

Thanks for visiting. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
