Dreams and Birthday Bash Inspiration Blog Hop

Hello! Today I have a card made with images from the new stamp set, designed by Tami Mayberry, called Dreams. The beautiful images in this set coordinate with Spellbinders dies. I also used the brand new Pure Luxury card stock color, Just Peachy, from Gina K Designs.

You can see more inspiration using Dreams, and another new set, Birthday Bash, by following the links below...

I started by cutting a piece of Pure Luxury White card stock, using rectangle Nestabilities and sponged with Memento Cantaloupe ink.

Sponged Memento Tangelo ink.

Sponged Memento Rose Bud ink. Rose Bud and Tangelo sponged together make a great peach color to match the new Just Peachy card stock.

I stamped the rectangle frame and sentiment using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

Stamped the dragonflies with Memento Tangelo ink.

I created larger background layer using Ivory card stock, sponged with Memento Tangelo and Rose Bud.

I stamped the flourish, from Border Bling, using Memento Tangelo.

I layered with Pure Luxury Chocolate Brown and used the new Just Peachy for my card base.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope your day is wonderful!

Vogue Vases and Border Bling Inspiration Hop

Hello and happy Friday! Today the Gina K Design Team are featuring projects using two of the new stamp sets from this month, Vogue Vases and Border Bling. First up is Vogue Vases a set I illustrated. More details below.

Next is a new set by Melanie Muenchinger, Border Bling. This is a follow up to the fabulous Bring The Bling stamp set that is so fun to use and this set is just as fun and fabulous! This time Melanie gave us bling frames to fit some of your favorite Nestabilities die sets.

For more inspiration, be sure to check out what the rest of the team has to show you...

To make my background on the first card, I started by sponging Memento Cantaloupe ink in the center of the cardstock.

Sponged Memento Angel Pink at the top.

 Sponged Memento Rose Bud.

Sponged Memento New Sprout on the bottom.

 Sponged Memento Bamboo Leaves.

I used one of the branch arrangements to stamp some foliage along the bottom corner. I inked with Memento Bamboo Leaves and stamped off on scratch paper before stamping on the background.

I stamped the silhouette vase using Stazon Jet Black ink.

Stamped another arrangement with Memento Bamboo Leaves.

I stamped the arrangement a second time on another piece of Pure Luxury White, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I used Copic markers to color the flowers, starting with RV29.

 Added RV25.

Filled in most of the petal with RV21 and used my blender pen to soften the highlights. After coloring all three flowers, I cut them out.

Adhered the flowers to the background using Pop Dots and used N1 & N3 to create a shadow under the vase.

The sentiment is also from Vogue Vases. I layered with Pure Luxury Black Onxy and used a Bubblegum Pink card base.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope your day is fabulous!

Gina K Designs Release Party Tonight!

Hello! Today the Gina K Design Team are hopping and inviting you to our release party tonight, at StampTV. My card is from one of the two stamps set I illustrated this month, By The Sea. We have a fun evening planned for you - chatting, prizes, challenges, stamp sets reveal, design team shares, and most importantly, at the end of the party you will be able to go shopping!

If you came from Tina's blog, you're at the right place. If not make sure to head over to StampTV  where you will find a list of all those participating in today's hop.

Hope to see you at the party, here are all the details:

Head on over to Tami's blog to see what sneak peek she's sharing with you today and see you back here tomorrow for the beginning of our four day Inspiration Blog Hop series for May!

I started by cutting a background with rectangle Nestabilities. I also cut a circle from a sticky note to use as a mask for the sun. I sponged lightly with Memento Cantaloupe ink around the sun.

Keeping the background in the die, I sponged Memento Summer Sky.

 Then sponged Memento Danube Blue.

Used a sticky note to mask at the horizon line and sponged more Memento Danube Blue.

I removed the horizon mask and circle mask and then used the sticky note I had cut the circle from, to mask the sky around the sun. Sponged Memento Cantaloupe ink in the circle.

Then sponged Memento Tangelo in the circle.

Stamped the lighthouse, from By The Sea, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

I stamped the lighthouse again, on another piece of white cardstock, and colored with Copics. I started with W3.

 Added W1.

Then I added R24 to the stripes.

Added R22, leaving highlights in the center uncolored. Then I used my blender pen to soften the edges of the color, letting some of the R22 bleed into the highlighted areas.

Added N5 shade at the top and to the stone foundation.

 Then added N3.

 Added E37.

 Added E35.

Then filled in with E53. After coloring, I cut out the image.

I adhered the lighthouse to the background, over the one I had stamped. Then I used B26, B24 and an opaque white gel pen to add some waves and texture to the sea.

I stamped the silhouette seagulls in front of the sun, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I layered with Pure Luxury Red Hot and used a Baby Boy Blue card base. The sentiment is also from By The Sea.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!

Dad's Day Train

Good morning! I'm adding to my Father's Day stash of cards. I used the train from Life is Good and the trees from Follow Your Dreams

I started by using sticky notes to mask for the moon and foreground. I tore the sticky notes for the foreground, then I sponged Memento Desert Sand ink.

I moved the torn sticky notes down a bit and sponged again, then moved and sponged again, to create depth.

I sponged Memento Rich Cocoa around the edges, then removed the circle mask. I stamped the trees, from Follow Your Dreams, using Memento Rich Cocoa.

Stamped the trees again.

Stamped the train, from Life is Good, on another piece of Pure Luxury White, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

Colored with Copic markers, starting with N7.
Added N5.

Added N3.

Filled in with N1.

I used W3 for the smoke and around the tracks, and Y17 for the light. After coloring, I cut out the image.

I adhered the train to the background with Pop Dots and layered with Pure Luxury Chocolate Brown on a Kraft card base. The sentiment is from Gone Fishing and I added score lines with my Scor-buddy.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope your day is wonderful!
