Back From Vacation

Hi there! I don't have anything crafty to show you because we have been on vacation and I'm still in lazy vacation mode. I'm trying to snap out of it and get something made for a GKD blog hop on Thursday. In the meantime, I'll share a few vacation photos from Kauai. If you're not interested, just scroll on by and tune back in later this week for a new card project.

This first photo is one of many colorful fish we saw while snorkeling. I don't remember it's name. There were many more colorful fish but we didn't get many clear photos.

This fish is one of my favorites, called the humuhumunukunukuapua'a. Try saying that three times. LOL. It's the state fish of Hawaii.

We did a boat tour of the Na Pali Coast and saw these bottle nose dolphins. They swam with the boat while we were sitting on the bow, right under our feet. You can see my daughter's toes in the bottom left of the photo. That is how close they were to us. What an amazing experience.

Here is a shot of the Na Pali Coast. It was a stunning coastline. I would take this tour again and again.

Looking down at the Wailua Falls.

My daughter and I along the beach. I go into a trance watching the waves. I used to live near the ocean, but now that I don't see it often, I tend to get mesmerized.

The Waimea Canyon.

Kayaking on the Wailua River.

After kayaking a ways on the river, we pulled over and hiked a  trail to Secret Falls. It rained like crazy on us and we were all drenched in this photo. That is my husband and daughter on the left, then our friends, Tim and Sue, then me.

Gorgeous tropical sunset. This might have to be a card sometime soon...

Kipu Falls. There was a fun little trail through overgrown vegetation to this one.

On our boat tour, they took us into sea caves. The opening we went through was that spot you see behind us. The top of this particular cave fell in so it is open to the sky. Other than that opening in the back, we were surrounded by high rock walls all around.

Thanks for letting me share my photos. I'll see you in a few days!

Wonderful photos. I know my 5 year old daughter will be jealous when she sees the picture of the dolphins swimming in front of the boat. She wants to be a dolphin-trainer when she grows up and she loves everything with dolphins. :)
Can't wait to see a card like that sunset on the photo, really stunning. Do you have a stamp set with a waterfall in it? Could be an idea for a future stamp set. ;)

Hugs, Debbie Meijer
