Garden Fresh and Whimsical Wishes Inspiration Hop

Hello! Today the Gina K Design Team have more inspiration with two more new stamp sets to share with you. First up is a set from Gina K Designs called Garden Fresh. I love the adorable images in this set. So many fun possibilities!

I stamped the water melon twice. I inked it up with Memento Pear Tart and rock-n-rolled Bamboo Leaves around the outer part of the rind. Then I used a black Memento Marker to ink up the seeds and straight edge. I colored the inside with Copic markers then then cut it out. I cut one of the images into three slices and inked up the cut edges with my black Memento marker. The background is sponged with Memento New Sprout, Bamboo Leaves and Angel Pink. the card base is Pure Luxury Passionate Pink. I added dots with a Sakura black glaze pen.

Next up is a card with the set I illustrated, Whimsical Wishes. More details on this card below, but first be sure to check out all the wonderful inspiration from the rest of the design team...

To make the background I sponged Memento Desert Sand ink on Pure Luxury White cardstock.

Then I sponged Memento Rich Cocoa.

Then I sponged Memento Potter's Clay to warm it up a bit.

I stamped the silhouette branches with Memento Potter's Clay, stamping off on scratch paper to make them lighter.

Then I stamped them with Memento Rich Cocoa, again, stamping off on scratch paper first.

Stamped the dragonfly with Memento Tuxedo Black and filled in with my E00 Copic marker.

Added E53.

Added E37.

Then added E59.

I used my Stardust Glitter Pen to add some sparkle. After coloring a second dragonfly, I cut them both out.

I cut the sentiment out with Petite Oval Nestabilities and then sponged with my Memento Potter's Clay Sponge Dauber. I didn't re-ink, just used what was left on the sponge dauber, so it would be light. I get asked frequently if I have a dedicated sponge dauber for each color and the answer is I have one for the colors I use most frequently. For the colors I reached for less often, I use a similarly colored dauber.

I layered the background with Pure Luxury Chocolate Brown and used Pumpkin Spice for the card base. the dragonflies and sentiment were adhered using Pop Dots and I added hemp twine under the sentiment.

Thanks for visiting. I hope your day is filled with fun!
