Birthday Bash

Hello!  One of the new stamp sets from the last Gina K release was Birthday Bash, by Rupa Shevde. I was too pressed for time to get a card made in time for the blog hop, but I couldn't let this adorable set go un-inked any longer.

I used Copic markers to color, starting with E35.

Added E33.

Added E53.

Filled in with E51 and added some shading with E37.

For a balloon I used V04, using a blender pen to to soften the highlighted area.

Used V06 to shade around the edges.

I ued B24 and the blender pen on another balloon, and B26 to add shading (didn't get a photo of B26).

Used YG05 and blender pen for the green balloon and used YG07 to shade. (missed anther photo here)

Used BG02 and blender pen on another balloon.

And used BG05 to shade.

I had intended to emboss resist, so I heat embossed with clear. I totally botched the embossing and got a bunch of extra embossing powder on my background. So I cut out the embossed image and made a new background.

For my new background, I cut a rectangle with Nestabilities and sponged with Memento Cantaloupe ink while still in the die.

Stamped the bear with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

Added a shadow to ground the image, using E31, E33 and N3.

Then used C1 and C3 to add a drop shadow around the image.

I used a Copic multiliner to add some bits of confetti around the balloons and colored them with the same colors as the balloons.

I adhered the cut out images to the background and layered with Pure Luxury Vibrant Purple. The cardbase is Sweet Corn.

Thanks for popping by. Have a wonderful day!

Theresa, your card is so sweet! That little bear makes me smile! As for your being pushed for time, once again, I want to thank you for showing us such beautiful photo tutorials of your process. I've learned so much here! Someday I'm going to actually try to use what I've learned! Thanks, Theresa, for sharing your work and your magic! Hugs...

What a sweet card. With two new great-grandsons, I'm looking for just such sweetness for future cards. Thanks so much for the walk-thru, and it's encouraging that even you can make a mistake.
