Iris Vase

Hello! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  I had a little time to play on Saturday and combined a few GKD sets, Warm With Love, Buds and Vases and Branching Out.

I started by stamping the vase, from Buds and Vases, with Tuxedo Black ink. I left the back rim of the vase un-inked where I wanted the iris to pass in front of it.

Then I stamped the iris, from Warm With Love. I didn't leave a large enough part of the rim un-inked, so some lines are passing through one of the stems. I used a Copic Multiliner pen to fill in the lines between the stems and to extend the bottom of the main stem in the vase.

I used Copics to color, starting with Y17.

Added YR000.

Filled in with RV21.

Outlined the petals with RV19.

Blended from there with RV25.

Then used RV23 and YR000 to blend into the R21.

For the foliage, I started with YG03.

Then shaded with YG95.

Filled in the water with B00.

Then used C3 to shade the vase.

For the background, I started by sponging Memento Angle Pink.

Then sponged Memento Rose Bud.

I stamped the tiny branch, from Branching Out, with Memento Rose Bud ink in a random pattern.

I layered with Pure Luxury Black Onyx and added a sentiment from Warm With Love.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful day!

Love the dimensional tip for our use. I will keep this in mind. Your beutiful sponged backgrounds are sooo copywrited by YOU! I even brought up your name and the amazing sponge shading you do, when I was in Marietta, GA this past weekend!

Really beautiful. Love how you don't use DP on everything. It's refreshing to see that again.

Beautiful! I just love your very detailed tutorials. That iris is so life like, it looks like it could just jump off the page!
