Gina K Previews - Day 2

Hello! It's the second day of Gina K Designs previews and today we are showing two more stamp sets. First up is a set I illustrated, called, Little Critters. I love these sweet little animals and it was such a fun set to draw. I used the hedgehog and along with some sweet bluebells and a fern for my first card. Step by step photos for this card are below.

Next is a gift bag I made using the frog and mushroom images from Little Critters. The process for making this is very much like the gable box I showed yesterday. Even the measurements are nearly the same. I'll share the instructions for both projects on my blog next week.

Next up is another of Asela Hopkins beautifully illustrated sets, Chocolate Bunnies. I just love the adorable bunnies in this set! I used the biggest bunny on my card, along with one of the sentiments. (I also sneaked in a few eggs from Basket Blessings) I'll be sharing the step by step photos for this card soon, too.

Ready for more inspiration? Check out what the rest of the Design Team has in store for you...

We will be having a release party at StampTV at 7pm Central this Thursday. There will be chatting, contests and challenges, plus Gina will show the full stamp sets. Then at 10pm Central, all the new stamps will be availble from Gina K Designs. I hope to see you at the party!

I began by stamping the hedgehog with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloring with copics, starting with E00 all over the image.

I added E31 to shade areas of the head, feet and belly. For the spines, I made quick swipes with the marker in the same directions as the stamp.

Added more shading with N1 and more swipes for the spines.

More shading and swipes, this time with N3.

I added swipes with E57.

Then more swipes with N5. I made sure to leave some lighter areas for highlights and greater depth. After coloring, I cut out the hedgehog.

I stamped the flowers with Tuxedo Black in and colored with Copics, starting with B26.

I added B23.

Then filled in most of the way with B21, leaving some highlights. I went back with B26 to deepen the shading.

For the foliage, I started with G05.

Filled in with YG05.

Then deepened the shading with G07. After coloring, I cut out the image.

I cut a sheet of Pure Luxury Base Weight White to form a 4 inch square card base, then masked a square. Then I sponged Memento Bamboo Leaves ink.

Sponged Memento Lulu Lavender.

Then sponged lightly with Memento Grape Jelly.

I stamped the fern image twice, using Memento Bamboo Leaves, but stamping off on scratch paper first to make them lighter. Sorry about the blurry pic.

The hedgehog and flowers were adhered to the card base using Pop Dots, then I stamped the sentiment, using Memento Tuxedo Black.

Thanks for visiting. I hope you have a wonderful day!

All of the images in your new set look adorable Theresa, I LOVE your meticulous attention to detail, but I LOVE this hedgehog - WHAT IS it about these little guys?!! And I think you were the only one to use him too. Thanks for another fabulous step-by-step tutorial, always look forward to those, and hedgies are tricky to color, I never know to go brown or grey. Your bunny card is pretty too - did you use an eraser tip to create those background dots? Just a guess. Suppose I will find out later. You have another winner on your hands!
