Gable Bunny Box

Hello! Here is the tutorial for the gable bunny box I showed last week. I meant to get this up yesterday, but I was lazy! I used images from Melanie's new Basket Blessing set.
.
To make the box, I started by cutting a piece of card stock to 6.5 inches by 11 inches. Then score on the long side at 1.5 inches and 3.5 inches.

Rotate the card stock and score at 1.5 inches, 5 inches and 6.5 inches.

Fold and crease on the score lines and then make the cuts shown in the picture. You can click on the images to see them bigger. Remove the sections as indicated in the photo.

Next, I stamped the small daffodil image, from Basket Blessings, repeatedly using Memento Pear Tart.

I used a Spellbinders Labels 9 die to shape the handles. I slid the die onto the card stock. You may need to trim a tiny bit since it is a snug fit. I slid the widest part of the die to one inch above the score line, then ran it through my Grand Calibur, to trim. Then I did the other handle, being careful to keep it one inch above the score line also.

Here you can see after I trimmed the handles. Next, add Scor-tape, or another sturdy adhesive to the side and adhere.

Fold in the bottom flaps and adhere.

I lined up the two shaped handles and cut holes for the ribbon, using a hole punch.

The box is 3.5 wide by 1.5 deep by 2 inches high, with the handles extending above. I was able to fit two of those sweet Cadberry Creme Eggs inside.

To decorate, I stamped the bunnies, from Basket Blessings, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

I used Copic markers, R81 and R02 for the inside of the ears.

I filled in with YR000.

Added E51 to shade.

Added E31.

Then deepened the shading with E33. After coloring, I cut out the bunnies.

I sponged the background starting with Memento Bamboo Leaves.

Then sponged Memento Cantaloupe ink.

Sponged Memento Rose Bud, lightly over the Cantaloupe.

Made some whispy grass using my YG05.

I layered the background with Pure Luxury Passionate pinks. The base is Pure Luxury Cream De Menthe.

Thank you for visiting. I hope you have a wonderful day!
