Wagon Wheel

Hiya, stampers! Here is a card I made using the wagon wheel from my new set, Farm Life. I made this card for the release party last week, so you may have seen it at StampTV, but I haven't shown it here on my blog yet.

I used Copics to color, starting with E53 as a base coat for the wheel and wood.

Next, I concentrated on the wheel, adding N3.

I used my blender pen to soften and smooth out the colors.

Added N5 to the metal outer part, and again used my blender pen.

For the inside, wooden parts, I added E35.

Added E57.

Then I used my blender pen to lighten and smooth out again. Next, I added some deeper shading with E49.

Added E35 to the wood siding, then used the blender pen to smooth out the transition of color.

Added some streaks of grey with N5, to give it a weathered look.

I used the blender pen again on the wood siding. then for the grass I filled in the whole area with YG03.

Added YG93.

Used just a bit of B00 above the wheel and cut out the image with oval Nestabilities.

Sponged around the edges with Memento Desert Sand.

Sponged with Memento Rich Cocoa.

For the larger rectangle, I cut a piece of Pure Luxury Ivory and sponged in from the edges with Memento Desert Sand.

Sponged with Memento Rich Cocoa.

I embossed with my Forest Branches CB folder and then hightlighted the raised areas by brushing lightly with my Rich Cocoa sponge dauber.

I stamped the sentiment, also from Farm Life, and sponged the same as above. I layered the panels with Pure Luxury Chocolate Brown and used a Pumpkin Spice cardbase.

Thanks for visiting. I hope your day is filled with smiles!

Boo! Treat Bag Holder

Hi there! Here are the step by step photos I promised for the treat bag I made last week.

Side View. All the images are from Asela Hopkin's new set, Boo!

I used some little clear bags from Michaels and put a few Hershey's Nuggets inside.

I cut a piece of Pure Luxury Vibrant Violet cardstock to 3.5 by 11 inches. Then scored at 4, 4.5, 5 and 9 inches.

Folded and creased at shown.

I stamped the banner from Boo! and colored with Copics, starting with YR07.

Added YR04.

Filled in with YR12.

I did the other two letters the same way, then colored the spiderweb section with V06, Vo4 and V01. I did the lavender the same way as the orange, starting with the darkest color and getting lighter.

After coloring, I trimmed around the image, leaving a small white border.

Then I adhered the banner to the top flap (the two inch section). I left extra space above the image to allow me to punch holes for ribbon later.

Then I trimmed the flap around the bottom of the banner, leaving a small border.

After trimming the flap, I added a piece of Scor-Tape to the inside, just below the fold line.

Adhered the bag with the Scor-Tape.

Cut a piece of Pure Luxury White to 3 by 3 inches. I masked off the moon with a 1 1/4 inche circle, then sponged Memento Cantaloupe.

Sponged Memento Tangelo.

Sponged Memento Lulu Lavender.

Sponged Memento Grape Jelly.

Removed the moon mask and sponged a tiny bit of Cantaloupe so it wouldn't be so bright.

Stamped the house/tree with Stazon Jet Black.

I inked up just two of the three bats and stamped.

Adhered to the front of the treat bag holder, layering with Pure Luxury White and Sweet Mango.

The pumpkins were colored with Copics, starting with YR07.

Added YR04.

Filled in with YR12.

Used YG25 on the stems. After coloring, I cut out the image and adhered it to the front of the treat holder.

I punched two holes at the top, in the space above the banner and placed a ribbon through them, tied with a bow.

And here is the finished project. Thanks for stopping by. I hope your day is great!

Faithful Florals

Hello and happy weekend!  You've seen this card already, but I promised to share the step by step photos from a few projects last week and this is the first. I'll share the Halloween Treat Bag tomorrow. All the images from this card are from Tami Mayberry's beautiful new set, Faithful Florals.

For the oval background, I first cut it using Nestabilities, then sponged with Memento Cantaloupe ink while still in the die.

Sponged Memento New Sprout.

Sponged Memento Bamboo Leaves.

Then I stamped one of the flower images with Bamboo Leaves, first stamping off on scratch paper once for a lighter image.

I stamped one of the other flower images with Tuxedo Black ink.

Then I stamped the third flower with Bamboo Leaves, three times.

For the rectangle layer, I sponged and did the background stamping the same way, then added the sentiment.

I layered with Pure Luxury White and Black Onyx. The card base is Green Apple.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day!
