Fanciful Birthday

Yay, it's Friday! I think we'll go try to find a Christmas tree today or tomorrow. We usually go to the mountains, but there is too much snow this year, so it's off to the lot for us. Hope we can find a nice one. :)

This week's color challenge at StampTV is Fresh Asparagus, Vibrant Violet and White. Once random person will win a GKD stamp set of their choice and we would love to have you play along.

To make my card, I stamped the flower, from Hope Grows, and colored with Copic markers, starting with V06.

Added V04.

Filled in most of the way with V01, leaving some uncolored highlights..

I used my blender pen on the highlights and extended onto the colored areas, allowing the color to bleed in and soften the highlights.

For the flower center, I used Y17 around the bottom edges and filled in with Y21. Used YG21 on the stem.

I used rectangle Nestabilities to cut out the image, then sponged with Memento New Sprout, while still in the die.

Sponged some Memento Bamboo Leaves, mostly along the bottom and side.

I used the small branch, also from Hope Grows, and stamp using Bamboo Leaves ink, but I stamped off on scratch paper before stamping on the background, to make the image lighter

The sentiment is from The Giving Tree and stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black.

I layered with a piece of Pure Luxury Fresh Asparagus, cut with scallop rectangle Nestabilities. Next, I cut the large tag, from Fancy Tags, using Pure Luxury Vibrant Violet. Then I cut that in half, so one side could extend past each side of the image.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a great weekend!
