For my card, I decided to use an image from the stamp set, Elegant Flowers, which was part of the very first StampTV kit.

To start, I stamped the iris' from Elegant Flowers, letting the image go off the cardstock a bit.

Then I stamped the image on scratch paper to make a mask and cut that out. I adhered the mask over the first image, using re-positionable tape. Then I stamped the image again, higher and to the right of the first image, but letting them over-lap a bit.

Before coloring, I stamped the image again on the left because I knew I wanted to use it on another layer. Then I used Copic marker, Y17 for the centers of the flowers.

Then I added V01, filling in the flowers, but only letting the ink butt up against the yellow, without extending over it.

Added V04, starting at the edges of the petals and working in, but not covering all of the previous color.

Added V06 just along the outer edges of the petals.

Colored the remaining flowers.

Filled in all the foliage with YG05.

Then added YG95 and YG93 for shading on the foliage.

I knew I wanted to sponge, so I heat embossed the images, with clear embossing powder, to resist the ink from the sponging. I used a Versa Mark pen to carefully ink up the images with Versa Mark ink, so my embossing powder would stick.

I wanted to let a petal extend over the edge of my circle, so instead of cutting the circle with my Nestabilities, I used it as a guide and traced the circle lightly with a pencil. Then I cut the circle by hand, going around the flower when I came to it.

After cutting, I sponged the background with Memento Cantaloupe ink. I also sponged the rectangle piece.

I layered with Pure Luxury Chocolate Kiss and Lovely Lavender. I also added a bit of background stamping with the branch from Hang In There. The sentiment is from Spring Florals.

Thanks for visiting. Have a great weekend!!!
