Spooky Mosaic

I have another mosaic card to share with you today. On this one, I combined Inspiration Mosaic with Spooky Silhouettes for a Halloween card.

I started by cutting my Pure Luxury White cardstock to just slightly larger than the mosaic stamp, then I sponged my background. First I sponged a bit of So Saffron for a yellowish moon.

Next, I placed a circle, punched from a post-it note, then sponged a little Apricot Appeal ink.

Next I sponged Almost Amethyst ink.

Then Lavender Lace.

And then a little Perfect Plum around the edges.

I did a little very light sponging with Going Gray ink over the moon, to look like wispy clouds.

Then I stamped the mosaic background stamp from Inspiration Mosaic. I added a drop shadow to the two boxes using a Copic multi-liner like I did on yesterday's project. Then I stamped images from Spooky Silhouettes.

The cobwebs in the corners were hand drawn and here are some close up photos of how I drew them. The mosaic stamp just begs for cobwebs to fill those corners.

I used my thin Copic multi-liner pen. First I chose a corner that needed a cobweb, then I drew the outside line, by making three humps in a kind of arc from one side to the other.

Then I drew straight lines from the corner to each valley (or peak, depending on your perspective).

Then I just added a new line of humps above the first and then another and another. With each line I made the spacing between the lines a little closer.

I added a few more bats and a sentiment, then layered with Pure Luxury Black Onyx, on a Pumpkin Spice cardbase.

Tomorrow we will be having a blog hop featuring Nina Brackett's new stamp set, Elegant Post! I hope you'll join us.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day!
