Celebration Giraffe

I used my Bic Markers to color the giraffe from Just So Hippy(Gina K Designs) by Melanie Muenchinger. First I heat embossed the image and then colored starting with the lightest color and worked to the darkest, using the lighter colors to go back and blend.

For the oval background layer, I started by sponging a piece of Whisper White card stock very lightly with Certainly Celery ink. Then I inked up a foliage stamp from Flowers For Daisy with Versa Mark and stamped around the edges. Next I heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

After that, I just kept sponging on more Certainly Celery, getting darker as I got near the edge and then added a little Not Quite Navy at the outermost edges. Below that oval is a black oval and an Old Olive scallop oval, all cut with my nestabilities.

Below the ovals is a layer of River Rock stamped with the little stars stamp from Jumping For Joy (Gina K Designs). The sentiment is also from Jumping For Joy.

If you like Gina K stamps, be sure to check out her blog. She is having sneak peaks of all her new releases this week and you might even win one of her new releases if you leave a comment. Melanie is also having blog candy for the new release, so be sure to visit her blog, too.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day!
